Bad habits of a lifetime cured in seconds

How reader Kevin finally stopped biting his nails at the age of 58

How my daughter is conquering her sleep problems

And how YOU too can start benefiting from the 31 ‘Switchwords’ below

Dear Reader,

Some weeks ago I received an email from a reader called Kevin who told me that up until the age of 58 he had always bitten his nails. Then, one amazing day, he discovered something called ‘Switchwords’ which succeeded in helping him stop where everything he’d tried previously had failed.

All he had to do was repeat the Switchword ‘OFF’ and - in his own words: “I have stopped biting my nails and 15 months later have not bitten them since.”

So what are these Switchwords and what can they do for the rest of us?

Slip in between the crack and plant powerful seeds of change

According to James T. Mangan, author of The Secret of Perfect Living, Sitchwords are all about bringing your conscious and subconscious selves together through a single word affirmation.

Words, says Mangan, can be filled with a huge amount of power and meaning - especially at this level.

If you find a word that works for you and repeat it to yourself it can impact on the whole of your life and being. For James Mangan himself, the most powerful word - or what he calls the ‘master Switchword’ is “together”.

The magical, heaven-sent word that came to me that day brought with it the perfect formula for living a life, the revelation of the first and immediate aim in the life of every man. The word was the familiar, supremely obvious word: TOGETHER… “Every time I said the word to myself, a remarkable reaction took place. The word would touch off a deep, prolonged sigh of a quality I had not known for years.”

Discovering the power of the word ‘Together’

TOGETHER can be about being having your life together in general… holding things perfectly together in a specific situation… your whole self being in harmony together (spirit, mind, heart and body)… your conscious and subconscious working in balance together… and being in harmony together with your life… and with the people around you.

You can use this world generally to feel more relaxed and contented or more confident and sure.
You can also try it out in specific situations such as in an interview or meeting… while socialising or exercising… while working or relaxing… or just as you buy a loaf of bread from the bakery or walk down the street.

Say the word outloud or silently in your mind. Affirm it. Declare it. Let your attention absorb and relish in the word.

Getting everything a human being wants out of life from one single word?! Then try one of these 30…

What people want from life says James is freedom, love, security, survival, health, money, art, wisdom, pleasure, happiness, action, self-improvement, service to humanity and some form of religion, spirituality or enlightenment. And what the word TOGETHER brings us he says is… them all!

It is likely, however, that if you are a mere mortal like me - with a whole array of different trials and tribulations to battle your way through every week - that you will also be in need of a few more specific helpers along the way.

Thankfully, James Mangan saw this need too and went on after his discovery of ‘together’ to spend the next ten years developing and experimenting with dozens of different Switchwords.

The list of words he has developed have already helped hundreds of people and I am very happy to be able to share this discovering with you today.

These are very new to me too but my 9-year old daughter is already completely enamored by them and has used ‘OFF’ very successfully to help her fall asleep more easily at night and ‘CANCEL’ to help her with her nerves during a recent test.

A few suggestions for how to work with Switchwords:

My daughter suggests making a list of say 5 or 6 of the situations or words that you feel are most relevant to you. Print them on a sheet of paper and stick them up somewhere where you’ll see them at times when you will most need them.

Some people will prefer to just keep repeating the word to themselves in their head throughout the day or at times when they need them. Others may prefer to set by 5 to 10 minutes each day to concentrate on their word. You could also use self-hypnosis or meditation techniques to deepen the experience.

If you have previously used affirmations or mantra before then use them in the same way.

Don’t worry if you’re feeling skeptical: Switchwords even work if you don’t believe they will. If you do believe they will work, however, it will probably make them work better and faster.
